The Small Church Journey With BSMC

The Small Church Journey is designed specifically with the small church in mind. In an initial interview, we can identify the three-five most important focus points for your congregation in your context. We can then develop a 3-5 year “journey” for your church, addressing one area each year. This has the advantage of allowing a church with a smaller base to make the steps toward greater health in smaller chunks, which is more manageable for churches with smaller reservoirs of resources.

Look below at the areas you can enhance with The Small Church Journey.

  • EVERYTHING our church does is driven by our understanding of what’s really important to do. We can consult with your leadership team to define with clarity your mission and unique vision, and provide some suggestions for action steps that can bring that vision into reality.

  • Through surveys and feedback from your congregation (augmented by attendance, giving, and evangelism data), we can provide a snapshot of your congregation’s self-perception in key areas of health and provide recommendations to strengthen the body.

  • Evangelism and outreach are the first call of the church, yet often the last priority. We can offer help in discerning the RIGHT strategies that create a culture of outreach and a consistent focus on evangelism that fit the personality of your church

  • Your worship service is the foundational ministry of your church. More of your congregants are affected here than in any other effort your church makes, PERIOD. We offer analysis and recommendations to minimize distraction and maximize focus on the Father’s work in this key moment each and every week.

  • Seven minutes. Guests will make their first decision on returning to your church in their first seven minutes of interaction. Sometimes that’s on site, sometimes that’s online. We can provide feedback and recommendations on the first seven minutes that help you make your best first impression.

  • Item descriptionDiscipleship is not a study people complete. It is a journey people take with Jesus. We can help you to clearly identify your discipleship pathway, and recommend key steps to help your congregation become more effective in making disciples.

  • Item descrGetting people to attend your church is just the first step of their journey. Helping them to become part of the body, to truly belong, is the goal. We can help you examine your methods for assimilating people into the life of your congregation, and make recommendations that bring clarity to the path for your people on how to fully integrate into the life of your church.iption

  • What we do with our “treasure” is a reflection of our spiritual priorities. But sometimes that picture is murky on the “inside” of the body. We can give your church an objective picture of giving and budget trends and make suggestions that help your church maximize its stewardship of the Lord’s resources.

  • Item descriptioMost churches have more invested in their facilities than any other tool for ministry outside of staff. A facilities analysis will examine both the appearance and use of space in your building and on your grounds. It can help your congregation both utilize and care for this tool to its greatest Kingdom potential.n
